A few days ago we had shared the leaked info of Ice and Fire type event provided by Team Evolution, and that leaked info proved correct, today Niantic officially announced the Pokemon Go Fest kick starting it with Fire and Ice type Pokemon and much more.

And that’s not complete, the Pokemon Go Fest 2017 will be celebrated in the both Virtual and real world

SUMMARY OF THE EVENT

Event Period: From June 13, 2017 to June 20
Increased Spawn of Fire-type and Ice-type
Special Reward: XP bonuses for throwing Poké Balls accurately
Store Discount Lucky Eggs with Discount

 

Right after the event, the GYM REWORK is going to land. In preparation for that, Niantic will be temporarily disabling Gyms for a short period of time.


Here’s the official statement 

To kick things off, we will be hosting the Solstice Event starting on June 13, 2017. This in-game event will feature Fire-type and Ice-type Pokémon, huge XP bonuses for throwing Poké Balls accurately, and discounted Lucky Eggs in the in-game shop. Soon thereafter, you can look forward to a new update focused on collaborative group gameplay features that will get you playing Pokémon GO in fun new ways. In preparation for these exciting features, we’ll be temporarily disabling Gyms for a short period of time.

Soon after the event, First ever real-world Pokémon GO event is going to be live in Chicago, The event will take place in downtown Chicago, USA on July 22, 2017.

Ticket for the same will be available at PokemonGoLive.com/Fest from June 19 at 10:00 A.M. PDT

The event is not only limited to US players, as European Trainers can look forward to Pokémon GO celebrations hosted across the continent from June through September in partnership with Unibail-Rodamco shopping centers.
